A Deaf-Blind project has been launched to realize inclusive development in Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian National Association of the Deaf Blind launched the project.  .

The new Deaf-Blind project was launched yesterday with the intention of enabling Deaf blind people to be part of development activities in Ethiopia. The project was entitled empowering the Deaf Blind in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian National Association of the Deaf Blind and Threshold Association launched the project.  Speaking at the event representative from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said the launching of the project will enable the society understand what Deaf Blindness is. The representative said the project will also help deaf blind people share their experiences with the society.

People living with Deaf blindness also shared their experiences at the project launching ceremony. The Deaf-Blind project mainly focuses on creating the proper awareness about Deaf Blindness and engage Deaf Blind people in various development activities in the country.(AFRO FM)
