Yismake Worku’s “Dertogada” released in English translation
The book was officially launched at the Russian cultural center the past weekend. The 358 page book translated by Zelalem Neguse offers a fresh and astonishing story.
The writer who has also translated books like “The Impossible love” and Dr Batman’s “Your body’s many cries for water” said it took him more than a year to translate the novel. Dertogada first published in April 2009 tells the story of a US-based scientist Shagiz Ejigu, an Ethiopian national as he tries to unseat the current regime, by force if necessary. (AFRO FM)
