George Clooney - George Clooney Released From Prison on 100 Dollar Bail

George Clooney has been released from prison at a bail of just 100 dollars. George Clooney had been arrested after he crossed a police line during a political protest in Washington DC on March 16 2012.

The protest in aid of Sudan had seen the actor being taken away in handcuffs. The protest was taking place outside of the Sudanese Embassy. When Clooney refused to move away from the protected region, he was arrested by the US Secret Service. 14 other people, including George's Dad Nick, a congressman and two women, were arrested. George Clooney has always been a keen activist for Sudan, having even visited the area several times. Even though South Sudan became independent form the rest of the country in 2011, relations have become more intense with disagreements over borders and oil resources. (Contactmusic.com)
