The new Africa Union Conference Center will be inaugurated here the coming Saturday.

The conference center is expected to strengthen the close partnership between Africa and China. The government of China provided more than 150 million USD grant for the construction of the new AU Conference Center. In connection with the inauguration of the building, Secretary General of the African Union Commission (AU) Ambassador Jean Mfasoni briefed the media. He said the building will serve as an expression of AU’s commitment to advance the cause of the African people towards the principles it was founded. Ambassador Mfasoni also mentioned that the new AU Conference Center constructed by a Chinese company will further strengthen the Africa-China partnership. (AFRO FM)
