St George beat Ports FC 7-0 to advance to quarterfinals of CECAFA clubs cup

St. George FC of Ethiopia demolishes Ports FC of Djibouti 7-0 in Group C match to qualify for the quarter finals of the CECAFA Kagame Clubs Cup.

According to the report, Saladin Said was the star of the match scoring 5 goals. The other two goals were scored by Anthony Bongole and Samson Mulugetta, the team’s captain. It was Anthony, the Ugandan, who opened the score for the Saints 27 minutes into the game. Saladin then added two goals five minutes apart to give his team a 3-0 lead at half-time.

Three minutes after the start of the second half, Samson Mulugeta converted a penalty kick for a foul committed on Saladin. Saladin seems to have a field day as he scored 3 more goals. According to ethiosports, after 3 matches, St. George has 7 points and 9 clear goals, the same as Ulinzi, but the latter has a game in hand with APR of Rwanda.  The outcome of this match will determine who will top the group. (Ethiosports)
